Monster
of a Camaro
Greg
Parnell from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada sends in a couple of pics of his 1976
Camaro 4X4. Greg reports that the 4X4 was a rare option in 1976 but it has
allowed him to combine his love for 4X4s and sports cars. Rare
indeed. Must be one of those Canadian Camaro models. A one of a
kind I'm thinking. Greg sums up the specs on his cool 4x4 as
follows. The car sits on an early '70s Blazer frame (no, it
wasn't a factory option in Canada, although
it might not have been a bad idea with our winters). It's got a modified 350
engine with a 350 tranny using a B&M ratchet shifter. It's running open
headers so it's a bit noisy. The transfer case is a 205. The front axle is
a Dana 44 and the rear is a 12 bolt posi. The car sits on 35" tires. It works really good.
