Review of
the Goodyear® Wrangler
MT/R
Goodyear's Wrangler MT/R evolved through research and
development geared towards the rock crawling community,
which helped Goodyear create one of the toughest
all-around tires available on the market. Through patented
compounds, the Wrangler MT/R holds up to serious
abuse. Its aggressive tread pattern extends down
onto the 3-ply sidewalls, providing excellent traction
in a variety of terrains while resisting puncture from
even the nastiest of razor rocks. Yet the Goodyear
Wrangler MT/R radial is still well behaved on the
street. It makes perfect sense that Jeep decided
to make the Wrangler MT/R standard on the Jeep Rubicon.
The Wrangler is available in sizes: LT245/75R16, LT285/75R16,
30x9.5R15C, 31x10.5R15C, 33x12.50R15LT, 32x11.50R15LT,
37x12.50-15 and even 40x13.50-17.

As Tough As The Roads They Drive On.
It takes a tough tyre to master the roads in Asia. In fact, it takes a team of
tyres. You see, Goodyear has developed an entire family of Wrangler
tyres as unique as the roadways in Asia. Each Goodyear Wrangler is engineered with Goodyear's Trinuum Tyre Technology, offering an advanced combination of features for ultimate performance on smooth and rugged road conditions. So no matter where you drive in Asia, Goodyear has a Wrangler for you.
Built Strong To Last Long Trinuum Tyre Technology gives each Goodyear Wrangler its own unique design. They're all constructed to last long in Asian terrain. In fact, Goodyear Wranglers resist damage from jagged rocks, stones and sharp debris that may leave other tyres useless. You see, most Wranglers feature sturdy steel belts and a wrap-around shoulder design that protect the tread and sidewalls from hazardous cuts and punctures. Other characteristics of Goodyear Wranglers include a continuous center rib, a large uniform footprint, a deep tread, radial construction and additional tread on the outside shoulder. When you add all these features together, you get an entire team of durable Goodyear Wranglers that offer extended wear, long treadlife and strong performance in Asia. That means confidence on the road when riding with the name you can trust - Goodyear with Trinuum Tyre Technology.
Features:
- 3-ply sidewall construction and advanced silica compounds
(Excellent resistance to cuts and tears)
- Durawall Puncture Resistance Technology
- Advanced mold shape and tread pattern

Very decent
tire life for an
MT/R. Excellent in
mud and very good in
snow. Never gotten a
flat with heavy offroad
use and driving a 80km
logging road twice per
week. Strongly
recommended tire.
Wouldn't buy anything else
for this price range.

I put a set
of 285/75/16`s on my rig,
and I was not impressed
with the overall
performance of these
tires. Mild Utah mud
filled these tires
quickly, turning them into
slicks that failed to
clear out until I was back
on the highway. Fairly
Good traction on rocks,
but I already have a deep
slice on the sidewall of
one. Lateral traction in
soft terrain was also a
bit weak. I am going to
try them in the snow this
weekend. They are
quiet on the road, and do
look nice though!

This is my
first set of tyres of this
sort I've used on my solid
4x4. I have used S.A.T.S
and I thought they were a
good tyre but I found
these to be better. I
little loud on the road
but i dont care as it adds
to the tuff truck image
hehe : ) all and all I
like these tyres alot.

I have
these tires
(35x12.50x15)currently on my
99 wrangler TJ. this is my
third brand of tires i have
used and the worst. They
work fine on dry pavement
but loose too much traction
when wet, I have punctured
the sidewalls on three of
them on the rocks, and have
had to winch out of holes in
the mud that i have gone
through with 31 inch all
terrains. I have had better
performing tires at a third
of the price. |

I use these
tires on my Sahara TJ which
I use daily as much as
off-road use. In
street they work great with
dry pavement, got some
scares whit rain. On
rock, the tires perform
great but they show a lot of
scratches and wear.
Great on Mud or wooded
trail. |
