Goodyear
Fierce Attitude M/T
Unveiled in
late 2009, the Goodyear Fierce Attitude MT mud tire was
engineered to appeal to the offroad community with top
performance in mud and in rough offroad conditions, while
maintaining decent on-road handling in all weather.
Developed with most sizes coming in a load range of E,
this tire is well suited for the light truck class of
vehicles that will find a need for greater traction such
as those that spend time in the muddy conditions of
construction site, or on the trails where conditions can
quickly turn into a mud bath. Highlights of
the Goodyear Fierce Attitude tire's mud specific tread
design is the alternating large lug patterned separated by
deep, wide voids. Incorporated into the lugs are a
series of sipes designed to allow the large lugs to flex
while providing additional leading edges on every
revolution. These sipes also aid greatly in wet
weather traction on the road making the Fierce Attitude a
very competitive contender for the on-road conditions with
mud tire category. The voids surrounding the large
lugs provide adequate self-cleaning channels to funnel mud
and water out and away from the tread. This plus
staggered shoulder blocks not only work well in the mud
but also provide a pattern that runs quite on the road.
The tread voids also have suction breaking elements within
the valley of the void that help to release thick mud.
Rim protectors which are essentially added material around
the rim, help to protect your expensive from not only the
curb as Goodyear advertises but also the rocks that you
may encounter by surprise on the trail. In the looks
department, the Goodyear Fierce Attitude MT get high marks
for an aggressive profile and a mean tread appearance.
For those that are looking for white raised lettering, yes
they have them too. The sidewall pattern
incorporates a triangle and barbed wire pattern that not
only aids in deep mud traction, but also helps to protect
the sidewall with an added layer of rubber while offroad.
