The Firestone Destination A/T with UNI-T is Firestone's "All Terrain" or AT designed for on road or offroad applications.  The tire is designed to meet the needs of vehicle owners who are looking for performance and stylish appearance in a tire that will drive well on the paved road as well as occasional off-road driving. The Destination A/T tire is engineered to balance an all-terrain tread design with a comfortable ride for light pickup trucks and SUV's (Sport Utility Vehicles) while providing year-round traction in a variety of weather conditions such as snow and rain as well as additional traction qualities suitable for mild offroad situations.


Utilizing Firestone's comprehensive design method called UNI-T technology, the Destination A/T attains a blend of off-road traction with above average on-road characteristics to enhance tire ride comfort, performance and wear.


The Destination A/T features an innovative compound called "Long Link Carbon" where longer is stronger.  This special form of carbon black enhances enhanced tread compound to improve the performance in wet conditions, improve wear on the road, and add tear, cut, and abrasion resistance that improves off road reliability and durability.

The compound that makes up the tread area is molded over the shoulder in a design that adds offroad protection and added traction.  A continuous center rib enhanced highway stability while the circumferential grooves, sipes and the lateral notches enhance wet weather traction. Internally the tire's structure uses twin, high-tensile steel cord belts with a polyester cord body giving strength and durability to the Destination AT.
