The Austrian Made Pinzgauer
The Pinzgauer is an Austrian made
military troop transport, made for the Swiss, Austrian, and British governments.
The Pinz is powered by an air cooled 4 cylinder Puch engine. The transmission is a German
ZF 5 speed, coupled to a two speed transfer case. The four wheel drive and front/rear
differential locks are all shift-on-the fly. This will go anywhere, through any terrain.
The ground clearance is about 15".
The Rocky Mountain Pinzgauer Club is
the official site of the First Pinzgauer club in North America.
The following units are owned by
Richard Frederick of California. Richard says that he has three of these military
vehicles for sale. The three 1972s each has been completely serviced and painted and
is ready to go in the Palm Springs, California area.
