Bigfoot
Presents: Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks
Bigfoot Presents: Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks is a children's show
on Discovery Kids, premiering in the fall of 2006.
It is a a CGI-style animation, presenting the fictional adventures of some
monster trucks with the personalities of young children.
The main character is an expeditionary rover (as one might use to explore the
Moon or Mars) named Meteor. The other characters are various other kinds of
trucks, including monster truck-style trucks, construction or rescue vehicles,
and others. Episodes take place in the fictional town of Crushington Park,
especially in a practice arena full of obstacles and cars to destroy.
The reference to Bigfoot (king of the monster trucks) appears to be a late
addition to the program. The pilot episode, Race Relations, does not have the
character LT (Bigfoot's Son) but instead has a tow truck named Hook and Hook
also has a profile on the official website. The official website also includes
video from a pre-Bigfoot version of the pilot episode with a different theme
song. Bigfoot does not appear in any of the first batch of episodes but will be
included in new episodes premiering the week of April 16th, 2007.
In 2007 Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks was nominated for an Emmy Award in
the Outstanding Special Class Animated Program category.
Head writers credited on the show are Ken Cuperus, Alice Prodanou and Dave Dias.

Meteor and
the Mighty Monster Trucks Toys
This is the Meteor gangs high-reving 5yo Monster Trucks are charging and and
smashing their way through Crushington Park. Quality die-cast versions of Jose,
Junkboy, Little Tow and Meteor will be available.
This show involves a group of young, Big-Wheel cruisers learning to be the next
big of car-crushing monster trucks. A space-age moon-buggy named Meteor is their
leader, the group includes Junkboy the garbage hauler, the fire engine Jose, and
the pink truck Ponytail. Also there is Little Tow, who recently moved to
Crushington Park.
At school the gang works to perfect their jumps and obstacle course time, but
after school, Meteor and his friends enjoy getting dirty! They spend a lot of
time driving off-road, and spinning doughnuts in the mud before heading to the
truck wash station for a squeaky clean shower.

As we watched this beast crawl up the RTI Ramp, observed the pivot point just behind the cab of the
truck as it worked it's extra flex into a great score for a 118 inch wheelbase
vehicle, we knew we would have to do
a page on
this beast.
