About Batman
Batman is a monster truck that competed on the USHRA circuit. The truck has a
custom concept body style and was officially licensed by DC Comics. The body is
a replica of the Batmobile.
The truck debuted in Charlotte, North Carolina with Jason Childress driving in
2006.
In 2009, the original truck turned into Grave Digger #22, and Seasock drove a
new Batman chassis.
World Finals Appearances
Batman has also competed in six Monster Jam World Finals events. In 2006, Jason
Childress drove the truck. In 2007, John Seasock drove the truck and also took
home the racing championship. In 2008, the truck won the racing championship
once again with John Seasock driving. Batman competed in the World Finals in
2009 and 2010 also with John Seasock driving. In 2011, Norm Miller took over the
Batman truck when John Seasock switched to the Advanced Auto Parts Grinder and
competed in the World Finals. In 2012, Carl Van Horn drove Batman in the World
Finals, which was Batman's last appearance in the World Finals.
Discontinuation
John Seasock did return to Batman in 2013 when Norm Miller moved to New Earth
Authority Police, but the truck did not qualify for the World Finals. Batman and
all other Marvel/DC licensed trucks are now retired and discontinued due to
Marvel/DC's license expiring in 2014. |

Dave Leasure's
Twisted Willys
As we watched this beast crawl up the RTI Ramp, observed the pivot point just behind the cab of the
truck as it worked it's extra flex into a great score for a 118 inch wheelbase
vehicle, we knew we would have to do
a page on
this beast.
