Destroyer is a monster truck currently competing on the USHRA Monster Jam
circuit. It is owned and was driven by Dan Evans. Originally a Chevrolet S-10 based
on the old Blue Max truck, a new Dan Patrick-built truck with a Ford F-150 body
debuted in 2007.
Evans is well known for his reverse jumps. In the freestyle section of the World
Finals 2005, he went up in reverse over a bus stack and then a semi trailer
jump. In 2007, he went over the double bus stack in reverse, ripping the right
rear spindle bolts out and returning it, out of commission, to its shop in
pieces to be used for the new truck.
Destroyer was originally
owned by Dan and Lorrie Evans until it was purchased by Stidell Motorsports at
the end of December of 2011. Roger Stidell now drives the Destroyer as Dan Evans
now currently drives Blue Thunder.

Twisted Willys
As we watched this beast crawl up the RTI Ramp, observed the pivot point just behind the cab of the
truck as it worked it's extra flex into a great score for a 118 inch wheelbase
vehicle, we knew we would have to do a page on
this beast.
