I live in NY where the snow and ice are very common during the winter months. I've tried a lot of tires and found a couple brands to be the best both traction and quality wise. The Hercules "Terra Trac" is one of those two brands that I consider an excellent tire.

I have about 15k on my Tera Trac MTs. Got them on a Nissan XTerra which I take offroad about once a month. These tire do great on the road and average trails but as far as mud goes they are about average. I've had them clog with mud and not slef-clean as I'd hoped. But I'm still happy with them. I'm thinking next time I may go a little more aggressive as my wheeling is getting more aggressive.

i do a lot of road driving and off roading and they work pretty good for both but they can clog up with mud and the tread wear is a little fast

I live in the blue ridge mt of virginia we depend on a good tire for the winter months snow and ice but these tires just don't stand up to big snows or ice we run studs in them they do on in the snow but do not clean them selfs well. the need to be more agressive

When i got my set of terra trac M/Ts they had about 10,000 miles on them and were about half tread. But man do these tires hook up mud,snow,wet roads these thing GRIP! The only down fall is they wear so fas tthere is only about 21,000 on them and they are completely bald But i guess to get good traction you have to scrafice wear. I would deff recomend these tires
