Description: The Tekonsha PRODIGY trailer brake controls is the most advanced and intelligent approach to trailer brake controls. PRODIGY, requiring no manual leveling, is a technological breakthrough among inertia activated brake controls. Equipped with a self adjusting sensing device similar to the one used in guided missile technology to allow for easy, flexible installation from nearly horizontal to nearly vertical PRODIGY constantly adjusts itself to the position of the tow vehicle.

Applies power to the trailer brakes in proportion to vehicle's deceleration. No level adjustment necessary. It adjusts itself to varying terrain as you drive. The only inertial control that works proportionally in reverse, great for backing into tough spots. Digital display depicts voltage delivery to trailer during braking. Continual diagnostics check for proper connection, shorted magnet condition and much more. Exclusive "boost" feature gives users the ability to apply more initial trailer braking power when towing heavier trailers. Power saving mode reduces drain on battery when vehicle is not in use. Unique pocket mount allows for flexible mounting options. Quick and easy disconnect feature allows user to remove and store the control when not in use. Rotary manual brake adjustment lever.

Digital display shows voltage delivery during braking. Continuous diagonistic program checks for proper connection and operation. Power-saving mode reduces drain on battery when vehicle is not in use. Preassembled wire harness for simple hookup. Unique pocket mount allows for flexible mounting options. Quick and easy disconnect feature allows user to remove and store the control when not in use. Limited lifetime warranty.

Pros: Excellent controller
Cons: none

Excellent controller. Works well and was easy to install. Setting the controller was easy and the read out on the display is clear once I decode the symbols. Very smooth braking. Easy to reach manual braking lever which works with a smooth sweap applying manual braking. the controller stops the trailer perfectly with no fear of wheel lockup. I ordered the necessary $15 cable to connect it to the harness under the dash of my truck.

Pros: Quality, Price
Cons: None

This controller is hands-down superior to time-delay controllers. I've had both and can't believe the difference. I was a little worried about proportional controllers with all I've read about levelling them. But this controller was SIMPLE to install. It applies the brakes so evenly that it's hard to tell my trailer is behind me. GREAT PRODUCT!

Pros: Great controller
Cons: none

I've used several different controllers over the years and this one is the only one that kept the braking consistent on assents and descents, which is good considering most of my towing in horse trailering in the rolling hills of central PA.
