Description: Review of the Pit Bull Growler All Terrain Extra Offroad Tire
In the world of "All Terrain" tires, the Pit bull Growler is not your ordinary all terrain tire. In fact this tire is better classified as a mud terrain (MT) rather than an all terrain (AT). Its not until you compare the Growler to the other dogs in the litter, Pit bull's Rocker and the Maddog, does it even resemble a toned down all terrain. The Pit bull Growler definitely has an advantage over other all terrain tires in its design elements. So much so that if you are shopping for a set of all terrains, consider these to be mud terrain tires. Bias ply mud terrain tires. Once you get past the classification of these tires, you'll find that they really do demand respect, in any class. Their aggressive, semi-directional tread design and the tough 6 and 8 ply, bias construction allows them to excel in just about every type of terrain, whether its mud, rocks, sand, wooded trails or even snow. Following suit with the other dogs in the litter, their sharp tread lugs attack the terrain with variety of shapes. Voids are deep and wide channeling mud away from the center of the tire and allowing the release of thick mud during moderate throttle. Some lugs are siped, which aids traction offroad as well as on the roads. A few contacts we talked to who run these are impressed with their overall performance offroad. When aired down the tire bulges well, especially when broken in and traction on the rocks is exceptional. On the street, the tire has been reported to be quieter than tires of the same caliber and handling is not bad for a bias ply tire as long as they are run at proper highway air pressures. Available in sizes 33X1250-15 thru 35X1450-17.

Pros: Wooded trails, Mud, Rocks, Mud, and more Mud
Cons: none except the lack of sizes

I love these tires. I have a set on my 89 YJ and they rock! I'll air down to about 12 psi and they do great on the rocks and in the Tennessee mud (sometimes it's one in the same with muddy rocks!) Street their a little loud for my Jeep but that's with no tub carpet so I think anything would be loud. I'd recommend them to someone. I wish the size selection was better but they had what I wanted. They look cool too!

Pros: Aggressive stance, great traction
Cons: noisy

These tires are more of a Mud terrain tire rather than an All Terrain tire as stated above. Still, I'm impressed with them offroad and I can tolerate the on road noise. They do great in the mud for an all terrain.

Pros: Everything
Cons: NONE

These are hands down the best tires i have ever ran, ive had my 84 bronco burried up to the frame (even with my 6in lift and 35 in tires) in thick mud, and in reallt wattery mud and these tires got me right out. They were so good that after i got out of the mud pit, i was so exited that i went out ind got 4 13 year old hookers and lived iit up!!! Highly recomended!!!

Pros: Grip city
Cons: none

The Growlers got me all the way up Calico with an open differential in my Land Rover. Aired down to 15psi, the carcass flexes like nothing I've seen. It's a bias ply--FAR SUPERIOR for off roading. Great on road too. No contest.

Pros: superior product functions well in mud and rocks.also a doable tre for your daily driver
Cons: little bit soft of a compound but thats what makes them stick

I have a set of 33x10.50x15 on my 97 tj with no complaints. 25,000 miles so far the front two are worn but i would say that is my fault since i bent my tie rod on a pile of boulders and need a true alignment every one in my jeep club can
vouch the the pt bull growler Rocks!!!!!
