Description: Maxxis M-8060 Trepador Radial
A Street monster. That's the first thing that comes to mind with this Mud Terrain Radial. The Maxxis Trepador is an aggressive, rugged, durable radial ply tire designed for extreme conditions and yet still perform well on the road. This is a great tire for someone looking for an aggressive weekend Mud Terrain that will commute to work Monday morning. Like its biased ply cousin the Creepy Crawler, the aggressive tread pattern of the Trepador is made up of massive horizontally siped, lugs separated by deep self-cleaning voids. The tread pattern differs from the Creepy Crawler in that the direction tread pattern is designed to channel water way from the center, which also works well offroad, channeling mud away from the center of the tire. Its street performance is assisted greatly by the network of sipes running through all lugs that make contact with the road surface. Another similarity with the Creepy Crawler is the sidewalls wrap-around tread design. Though not as aggressive as the Creepy Crawler's sidewall, the Trepador is impressive and will do the job of providing protection while assisting with traction when offroad. One drawback of the Trepador is the lack of common size option. Available sizes start at 35" and move up to 40" in 15", 16", 17" rims with even an 18" rim on the 40". Ply rating available in 6, 8 or 10 model dependant. The Trepador also comes in a Competition grade bias ply in 3 sizes: 37x12.50-16 D/8PR, 37x12.50-17 E/10PR and 40x13.50-17 D/8PR.

Pros: Good rock tire (air it down)
Cons: expensive but worth it if serious

I do a lot of rock crawlin at an abandoned quarry and these tires on on my modified and chopped bronco. The Trepadors have been taking a beating and get great traction on the rocks. They're a little chewed up but it's the rocks I'm on alot I think that are wearing them down. There's a few good mud holes around to and these do well in the mud. Rick Elson - TN

Pros: Rugged and work well aired down.
Cons:

I've had a set of these on my 78 Bronco for 4 years now and they have not failed me. They're great in rocks, sand and general trail use. Not the greatest in deep mud, but they do alright. They are terriffic aired down to about 8psi in the rocks and in deep snow. The only down side has been that they have worn quicker than I'd like. I'm at 20K now and will replace them within a year.

Pros: They are awesome and very cheap in Costa Rica, they are about $160 each
Cons: None

I have just bought them and i have tried on both deep and light mud and they did what the should do. I'm complete satisfied with these tires. The look that my Jeep YJ received is great.
