Description:
Brute strength and innovation meld seamlessly in your WARN XD9000i Self-Recovery Winch. It's chock-full of all the important features you demand as well as new and exiting design improvements.
First and foremost, your WARN XD9000i Self-Recovery Winch packs a mean punch. Driven by its 4.6 hp Series Wound motor, it delivers 9000lbs. of intense pulling power. Not only that, its 3-stage planetary gear train can haul in your line at up to 38-feet per minute.
Besides muscle and speed, your new WARN XD9000i Self-Recovery Winch also gives you an extra edge through its ground-breaking design. Rather than leaving the control pack exposed to damage from the elements and abuse, the WARN XD9000i stores it inside an all-metal housing. It's like having a roll cage for your winch.
What’s more, you get a huge 125' spool of 5/16" wire rope and a 12' wired remote switch. Plus, your WARN XD9000i comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

Great winch

Cons:
|
none at all

Have this on my CJ7 mounted on a custom front bumper I made. I've used it once in a while to typically yank out someone else (I don't get stuck ). Simply put, this winch has never failed me. Been using it for years and have never had an issue. Strong, moderate pull speed. I expect many more years out of it.

Pros:
|
Warn quality, integrated solenoids
|
Cons:
|
a bit heavy with 125' of steel cable and my multi-mount system

I've used this winch for several months in various tasks, from recovery of stuck friends to yarding trees up a steep hillside. It has yet to let me down and seems like it should last for years to come. With the large heat sink on the motor, my winch has yet to get more than warm to the touch even after yarding trees that were at the limit of the winches pulling power for hours on end. Some synthetic rope will be added once my steel cable gets excessively frayed and kinked to help cut down on the units weight though.

This winch has the power to pull over large trailers that have over turned in windy wyoming. 10 years on job with no problems just one screw broke which holds cable to spool after ten years

Pros:
|
flashy enough to atract a thief's attention
|
Cons:
|
cost, didn't seem to have the grunt to pull my early bronco
|

Even with a red top&120amp alt. sucked so much amperage in hard pull had to rev the heck out of my engine. I also thought the line speed was kinda slow. Very nice looking winch, and seemed to always work when asked to. Saved $ my whole time I was deployed (E-2 pay) for a WARN to have it stolen off the front of my rig a year later. Add insult to injury when I called WARN to ask serial # info they were rude as hell. From Oregon, but probably give my $ to somebody else next time.

had this winch on the front of my samurai. pulled well even for moving heavy jeep JK sidways up a slope to get him free from bodie damage. i tended to be the go get em truck being lighter in the mud allowed me to get to the other side to winch out 4x4s that should not have been in the mud pit with out a way to self recover and no one to catch them on the other side.
i was runing a yellow top optima with a GM 150 Amp alt and 8 gage charging wire
