Whissenhunt in Dahlonega, Georgia has several miles of trail are open to ATVs in this 700-acre area in Georgia.
Suitable For Motorcycles and ATV's only. 4x4's and trucks not allowed on the trails. There is a fairly large parking area, a picnic table, and a new public bathroom (Spring 2001).
Directions Take "US 19/60 Business" north from Dahlonega 2.2 miles. Turn left on paved county road (Wahsega Road) towared Camp Frack D. Merell. Go 3.9 miles to dirt Forest Service Road #662, turn left into OHV parking area.
Alternate directions:
You can actually go north on 19/60 from Dalonaga and get there. Go on 19/60 north, after you pass the Wal Mart, for about 3 miles; turn left at the sign that says Frank D. Merril, there is an old gas station on the corner; then you go about 3 miles to Wasega Rd and turn right, there is a tire store/garage on the corner
