Hi my name is Justin, I'm 16 years old and this is my jeep. This jeep was purchased in 2001 and took three years for me and my dad to complete. Its almost entirely fiberglass with the exception of the front grill and windsheild frame. under the hood it was stock with a few extras here and there such as the weber carb and aluminum valve cover. We also kept the stock tranny in it. There is a 2.5 inch liftkit thrown on to allow the 33 inch Mud-Terains room. It has recessed tail lights to give the back a nice smooth look. The paint is a 1970 ford candy apple red which the pictures dont do justice.
Just recently i dropped a rebuild chevy 350 in it. started out by tearing it down to the block and doing a full re-build from there. it has a q-jet carb and has edelbrock valve covers and aircleaner as well as an edelbrock performance cam, lifters, and timing set. it also has many other add ons such as chrome brackets, accel plug wires, mr gasket wire loom as well as other mr gasket parts.
As for the interior we carpeted the floor. It has 4 point racing seats in front and a flip forward rear bench seat. It has a new grant steering wheel and a chrome cover over the gauges on the dash. Most all original hardware was replaced with kentrol stainless hardware. As of now it has no stereo but that is the next thing going in it as well as a top of some sort.
Currently I am working on installing a system made of a spare deck and some speakers i have sitting around. I want to add some more protection so I dont kill the body when I go off-roading. I would like to add some rock sliders on the sides to protect the rocker panels and put a beefer front bumer like a tubular one on it as well. We are also looking into throwing a small block v8 and auto tranny in it sometime down the road.
We hope to take it into the silver lake sand dunes sometime soon to see what it can really do. Thanks and enjoy
UPDATE: I finally got a system installed in it, we just went out and bought a new jvc deck after the one i had installed died. The new deck was put in a tuffy center console. Then i am running some two way speakers in the dash that I had sitting around and some three ways in the back on the fenders. I hope to upgrade all the speakers to pioneers or jvc's sometime but money is tight.
