Jeep Tuxedo Park Mark IV
Model CJ-5AThis
nicely restored example of a Tuxedo Park Mark IV was on
display at the All Breeds Jeep Show.
From 1964-1968 Kaiser elevated the Tuxedo Park from
just a trim package to a separate model for the CJ-5A
and CJ-6A. The Tuxedo Park model was an
attempt to civilize the Jeep image and relieve the
utilitarian image people had of the Jeep CJ. Equipped
with a Dauntless V6, 3 speed transmission, and chrome
accessories the Jeep stood out from previous models.
The Tuxedo Park Mark IV came with several options to
elevate this model above the ordinary Jeep.
Options included:
▪Chrome
front bumper
▪Chrome
hood badges
▪Chrome
windshield hinges
▪Windshield
clamp catch
▪Chrome
drop down license plate
holder
▪Chrome
tail lamps
▪Hubcap
displaying the "Jeep" ▪emblem
▪Column
shift
A Tuxedo Park Mark IV is signified by a different
prefix from a normal CJ-5 with a VIN prefix of 8322,
while a normal CJ-5 VIN prefix is 8305 from 1964-1971.
