Clearfield County
Fall 1999
October 1st in Clearfield County PA. Fall is all around up here in the
mountains. As soon as we began to gain altitude in the mountains of central PA the
tree began to take on colors of red, yellow, and orange of various intensities. By
the time we reached the mountains we spend most our time on the color was spectacular.
Although the area will reach it's peak midway to three quarters through October, we
still enjoyed about a 60 percent follage in brilliant color. The weather was just
right. Temperatures hovering around 65 degrees around mid-day and brilliant fall
sunshine. |
