| Depending on where you were in relation to the angle of the
sun, you were either wheeling in 5 to 6 inches of or you were in the mud of the trails.
The winter was not a rough one. Some snow but mostly mild weather. |

Here on the mountain top the sun melted what little snow fell earlier in the winter. |

| Here in the valley floor where the
sun's angle was low and the snow was protected by trees and valley sides things were
mostly cover in snow. This is the scenic part of route 219. |
