Oakey Mountain OHV Trail
Length: 5.9 miles
SUITABLE FOR - Trail bikes, three-wheelers and ATV's with less than 48" axle width
This trail is near both Lake Burton and Lake Rabun. It is not a loop trail so traffic is two-way. Some sections are steep (35% grade) and rocky. There are also many blind curves on the trail. Consequently, this trail is rated most difficult. A legally licensed driver should accompany under-age riders who do not have a State driver's license.
The Oakey Mountain OHV Trail system offers a 6-site pull-in campground with tables, lantern posts, fire rings, available water, and a toilet. Access is the same as for the Cigarette Mountain Trailhead for the Oakey Mountain OHV Trail. Just drive to the parking area and about 100 yards further is the campground.
A fee is required to ride on the Oakey Mountain and Moates Knob trail system.
Moates Knob OHV Trail
Length: 3.3 miles
SUITABLE FOR - Three and four-wheel ATV's and motorcycles
This trail is a spur trail off the Oakey Mountain OHV trail.
