After spending months searching for tires for a Jeep Grand Cherokee, I was drawn to these because of looks and their relatively inexpensive price. I purchased and mounted a set and with about 5,000 miles on them now, I have been pleased with their performance for the most part. On wet and rainy roads, they perform very well. Traction in those conditions is excellent and cornering in the Jeep has improved dramatically. Road noise isn't a problem either. These tires have an almost unnoticeable hum while driving at over 55 mph. Tread wear with the Federals looks to be impressive so far as well.
Here in the Midwest, we see a lot of snow and ice during the winter months. Our Jeep has the full time 4WD system, which is a good thing with these tires. Even in 4WD, they can spin freely on ice and hard packed snow conditions. My wife drives the Jeep more than I do, and she can tell they're not as sure footed on snow and ice as the Firestone tires they replaced. They seem to do somewhat better in deeper snow, however.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with this tire. They were very inexpensive and it appears that they'll last at least 45,000 miles. They're excellent on wet and dry pavement and "deeper" snow, but not as strong on ice or packed snow.
