Here's some pictures of the damage done.  One of the pictures shows my cousin getting as close as he could to the smoke.  The heat and the smell was unbearable, so I don't know how he could get that close. There's also some pictures of the old route 61, a warning sign, and a picture of the cemetery that is right next to the fire.  It's in really good shape, but in the near future it probably won't be so nice.  although it's not in the photo, the right side of the cemetery is starting to burn.
